Abstract

Background: Olanzapine is effective for preventing chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, but the optimal dose remains uncertain. Methods: We will conduct a systematic review and network meta-analysis of comparative studies evaluating olanzapine 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg for CINV prophylaxis in adults receiving chemotherapy, as reported in randomized controlled trials. Outcomes: Primary outcome will be complete response. Secondary outcomes will include nausea control, emesis control and adverse events Conclusion: This review will determine whether lower olanzapine doses provide comparable antiemetic efficacy with improved tolerability.
