Predictors of Dropout and Non-Attendance in NHS Gambling Clinics
Abstract
This study aims to use routinely collected data from the NHS Northern Gambling Service (NGS) to understand engagement and retention. Specifically, it seeks to investigate why approximately 40% of referrals do not attend their initial assessment and to identify predictors of the time and type of service disengagement (dropout at various stages vs. completion) for those who do attend. The project employs machine learning and survival analysis techniques on anonymized clinical data.
