Mapping non-coding RNAs in multiple sclerosis: from remyelination to neurobiological reserve: A scoping review
Abstract
This scoping review aims to systematically characterize the role of non-coding RNAs (miRNAs, lncRNAs, circRNAs) in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Specifically, we will investigate how these molecular networks orchestrate oligodendrocyte differentiation and remyelination mechanisms. Furthermore, the review will integrate the molecular findings with the clinical concept of neurobiological reserve, exploring how enhancing myelin repair pathways can contribute to preserving long-term neurological function and resilience in MS patients.
