Abstract

The aim of this study is to explore how people with exhaustion disorder experience cognitive assessment and feedback as part of stress rehabilitation, and identify elements considered beneficial for health, function, and work ability. Individuals diagnosed with exhaustion disorder, who took part in cognitive assessment and feedback as part of routine care at a stress rehabilitation clinic, were included in the study. Using a descriptive mixed-methods design, the study uses data in the form of interviews, self-report forms, patient evaluation forms, and cognitive test results, to provide both a description of the sample and an in-depth understanding of the participants’ experiences of cognitive assessment and feedback. Expected outcomes include insights into central themes and components of how cognitive assessment and feedback can support health, functioning and work ability for people with stress-related disorders, informing the development of future interventions.
