Individual Differences in Infants’ Information-Seeking Across Contexts
Abstract
This study investigates the mechanisms underlying infants’ gaze behavior during information seeking. During an in-lab testing session, infants will complete two tasks: one violation-of-expectation task and one visual learning task while we measure their gaze with an eye tracker. By comparing infants’ looking behavior across tasks, we aim to assess whether infants possess a common mechanism that guides information-seeking across tasks, or functionally distinct mechanisms bound by context.
