Abstract

This protocol provides an overview of the researchers' intentions for the scoping review, which will report on the use of AI as a tool for student and staff competency development in undergraduate and postgraduate dental education as documented in the literature. This study will adhere to the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodological framework and align with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) guidelines. Literature focusing on dental students, clinical supervisors, and lecturers in global educational contexts will be included in the scoping review.
