Abstract

Objective: To conduct a comprehensive review of the intervention studies on nutritional care for patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and to provide references for medical staff in formulating and implementing relevant interventions. Method According to the scope review methodology, Systematic searches were conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, The Cochrane Library, CINAHL, SinoMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), and Wanfang Data Knowledge Service Platform The search period for Chinese databases such as Data and VIP is from the establishment of the database to July 2025. Result: A total of 18 literatures were included. The intervention programs for nutritional care in patients with inflammatory bowel disease include the Mediterranean diet (MD), anti-inflammatory diet, CD treatment diet, feedback diet, individualized diet, H2H nutritional management model, diet diary management and specific carbohydrate diet. The intervention forms include offline intervention and a combination of offline and online intervention. The frequency and duration of intervention vary depending on the content and form of the intervention. After the intervention, the disease and health status, nutritional and dietary levels, as well as the quality of life of the patients have significantly improved. Conclusion: Currently, scholars at home and abroad have a rich array of intervention programs for nutritional care in patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and all of them have positive effects. However, at present, the selection and elaboration of specific food plans for patients with inflammatory bowel disease in China are insufficient and still need to be further optimized. In addition, the research sample size can be expanded and the intervention duration extended to fully assess the possibility of disease remission or recurrence.
