Abstract

This registration documents a scoping review with evidence mapping that examines the association between the Pan-Immune-Inflammation Value (PIV) and clinical outcomes in colorectal cancer. The objectives are to (1) map how PIV has been studied across clinical settings, blood-sampling time points, and outcome domains (e.g., survival, disease control, treatment response, and perioperative complications), and (2) identify evidence clusters and gaps to inform future research and potential clinical risk stratification. We will search PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and CNKI from inception to January 8, 2026 using MeSH terms and free-text keywords for colorectal cancer and PIV, and we will also consider studies labeled as AISI when the reported formula is identical to PIV. The expected outputs include an evidence-map heatmap summarizing the distribution of available evidence and the direction/significance of reported associations, a curated dataset of eligible studies and effect estimates (HR/OR/RR with 95% CIs), and a manuscript prepared for submission to a peer-reviewed journal.
