The Effects of Sling Exercise Therapy on Pain, Disability, and Range of Motion in Patients with Neck Pain: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials
Abstract
Hypothesis: Sling Exercise Therapy (SET) will show superior effects in reducing pain intensity and neck disability index (NDI) scores, and improving cervical range of motion (ROM) compared to other conservative interventions (e.g., traditional physical therapy, manual therapy, or general mat exercises) in patients with neck pain. Sub-hypothesis: The effect size of SET will be significantly greater when compared to passive interventions (e.g., electrotherapy, massage) than active interventions (e.g., isometric exercises).
