Abstract

The number of LGBTQ+ individuals seeking international protection has grown in recent years as many flee contexts where their identities are criminalized or violently persecuted, resulting in layered trauma that significantly shapes their sexual health and wellbeing. Yet delivering sexual health information and services within asylum settings remains challenging due to stigma, safety concerns, and limited targeted resources, underscoring the need for consolidated evidence. The objective of this scoping review is to explore the sexual health needs of LGBTQ+ individuals seeking international protection and the existing sexual health services available to them.
