Shared decision-making and adherence to medication treatment in adult psychiatry – a combined intervention and registry-based study
Abstract
The overall aim of this combined intervention and register-based study is to investigate whether adult psychiatric patients' experience of participation in issues related to medication treatment is related to adherence to treatment prescription. The intervention consists of information meetings for prescribers within two randomly selected sections, where two other sections serve as a control group. The outcome is measured via forms and through register extracts where the patients' medication withdrawal patterns are studied.
