The Dissipative Order Extension of the Second Law of Thermodynamics
Abstract
## Version Update: Working Paper v1.1 This update provides Version 1.1 of the working paper *The Dissipative Order Extension of the Second Law of Thermodynamics*. Version 1.1 revises and strengthens the framework by explicitly distinguishing energy, exergy, entropy, and local order. The revised version clarifies that raw energy input alone is not sufficient for local order formation. The relevant constructive condition is usable work potential or exergy-carrying throughput under usable gradients, structuring coupling capacity, and limited disruptive pressure. The second law of thermodynamics remains fully preserved. The revised framework does not reject or replace the classical entropy statement. Instead, it introduces an additional local order-balance layer for open dissipative systems under an intact entropic constraint. Main revision points: * explicit distinction between energy conservation, exergy consumption, entropy production, and local order formation; * replacement of the broad flux term by normalized available work or exergy-carrying throughput; * revised dissipative order coefficient; * strengthened falsification logic; * clearer separation between raw energy input and structure-forming available work; * expanded methodological framing for future empirical validation. Version 1.0 remains available as the initial working paper version. Version 1.1 should be treated as the current revised version.
