Abstract

This scoping review aims to map the quality and gaps in medical education regarding the healthcare of transgender individuals within the Brazilian context. Despite the existence of the National Comprehensive Health Policy for Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transvestites, and Transsexuals (PNSI-LGBT), clinical practice still faces educational barriers. This study will follow the JBI methodology for scoping reviews and will be reported according to the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. The findings will serve as a basis for developing an educational resource (handbook) to improve medical training and care.
