Segmented Time Theory (STT): A Position on Temporal Structure
Abstract
Segmented Time Theory (STT): A Position on Temporal Structure Author: J.P. Soren-Flint This paper presents Segmented Time Theory (STT), a structural framework proposing that time may be represented as a set of discrete, bounded sectors rather than a strictly continuous and globally ordered dimension. STT introduces the concept of conditional temporal ordering across sectors and explores the implications of segmented temporal structure for causality, observer interpretation, and non-continuous temporal models. This document is presented as a foundational position paper rather than a complete physical theory. Subsequent work will expand the mathematical formalisation, sector topology, transition properties, and relationships to observed physical phenomena.
