Abstract

The objective of this scoping review is to map the extent, range, and nature of evidence on nursing leadership rounding and its influence on patient experience among adult patients in healthcare settings, and to identify key concepts, implementation approaches, and gaps in the literature. Patient experience is a core component of healthcare quality and is closely associated with safety and clinical effectiveness. Nursing leadership rounding has been increasingly adopted as a strategy to enhance patient-centred care through real-time engagement, yet the evidence base remains heterogeneous and conceptually unclear. A scoping review is therefore appropriate to explore how this intervention has been studied, implemented, and reported.
