Abstract

This scoping review aims to support evidence-informed decision-making by public sector leaders, policymakers, and regulators as they navigate the opportunities and risks of agentic AI deployment in contexts involving public authority, legal mandates, and fundamental rights. By mapping the current state of knowledge and practice, the review will establish a foundation for more targeted systematic reviews, empirical research, and policy development in this rapidly evolving domain.
