clinical translation: senolytics and anti-aging
Abstract
This study investigates the current state of clinical translation pathways for senolytic therapeutics in anti-aging interventions, with a focus on identifying translational bottlenecks and advancing evidence-based implementation strategies. As senolytics—agents that selectively eliminate senescent cells—demonstrate compelling pre-clinical efficacy in extending health-span and mitigating multiple age-related pathology, the systematic progression of these compounds from bench to bedside remains fragmented and under-standardized. Despite growing investment in geroscience and promising early-phase human data, there is a critical lack of comprehensive, cross-disciplinary analysis evaluating how translational challenges—including biomarker validation, dosing regimens, regulatory classification, and long-term safety—are being addressed in real-world clinical development programs. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the scientific rigor, regulatory preparedness, and clinical feasibility of senolytic translation across global trials targeting aging and age-related diseases.
