Governance and Legitimacy in AI-Assisted Academic Authorship

Preregistered study examining how AI authorship capability, academic identity threat, and governance mechanisms shape institutional legitimacy amongst academic journal editors and reviewers. Structural equation modelling with n=384 participants across three disciplines. All materials, data, and analysis scripts publicly available to support reproducibility and transparent research practices.
