Abstract

The objective of this scoping review is to systematically identify and map peer-reviewed quantitative assessment instruments measuring antimicrobial resistance risk perception among healthcare workers, identifying gaps in behavioural measurement. This scoping review will be conducted in accordance with Arksey and O’Malley’s methodological framework and reported following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. An initial exploratory search will be conducted in PubMed and CINAHL to refine search terms, followed by comprehensive searches of PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus and Web of Science. Peer-reviewed studies reporting the development, adaptation, validation or application of quantitative AMR risk perception assessment instruments among healthcare workers in healthcare settings will be included. Grey literature will be excluded. Two reviewers will independently screen titles, abstracts and full texts against predefined eligibility criteria. Data will be charted using a standardised extraction form to capture instrument characteristics, theoretical underpinnings, dimensions of risk perception and reported psychometric properties. Findings will be synthesised using descriptive statistics and narrative analysis.
