Abstract

Traditional typology describes 'loops' and 'grips'—dysfunctional stress patterns supposedly unique to each personality type—yet provides no mechanistic explanation for why they occur or how they relate to normal cognitive function. Building on the Cognitive Action Model (CAM), this paper reveals these phenomena as manifestations of a universal mechanism: parasitic vector forging through cooperative premise fabrication. We demonstrate that any cognitive architecture can exploit its vector forging process to generate positive reward signals (UMRBS) without adaptive action, analogous to how sexual behavior can be decoupled from reproduction. The mechanism operates through constraint-blind berserk deployment: both Small and Grand Premise cooperate to fabricate counterfeit alignment while systematically excluding contradictory constraint data. Critically, parasitic forging sustainability and visibility correlate with entity involvement. Types processing primarily attributes (INTJ, INTP, INFJ) can maintain parasitic cycles indefinitely without physical evidence—entire lifespans consumed in unproductive abstract rumination. Types processing entities, especially Se-dominants (ESFP, ESTP), must manipulate physical reality to sustain counterfeit vectors, creating visible evidence (substance use, debt, injury) that enforces rapid correction. This reveals a cruel inversion: the most invisible parasitism (entity-free) wastes highest cognitive potential most completely, while the most visible parasitism (entity-dependent) is self-limiting. An INTJ can spend 40 years 'developing theory' with no output and no intervention, dying with brilliant unwritten work. An ESFP's substance abuse becomes unsustainable within months, forcing correction before total waste. We provide therapeutic implications distinguishing parasitic exploitation from adaptive respite, resolution protocols requiring forced premise honesty rather than function development, and intervention strategies calibrated to entity-involvement level. The framework explains previously mysterious stress phenomena through UMRBS economics rather than shadow function mythology.
