An Investigation of Attitudes Towards Sexual Violence
Abstract
This study aims to determine whether the label (victim/survivor) and sex (male/female) of an individual who has experienced sexual violence will influence university campus members' (students, faculty, alumni and staff) attitudes towards them. Secondarily, this study attempts to identify key factors involved in producing or exacerbating either positive and/or negative attitudes towards individuals who have experienced sexual violence (i.e., demographic factors, endorsement of male role norms, and/or past sexual violence experience).
