Internal Ignition HB‑11 Fusion Architecture V-03
Abstract
1. Abstract This study proposes an internal ignition architecture for laser-driven proton–boron-11 (p-B11) fusion. The core innovation relies on significant Coulomb barrier reduction at the quantum level and optimization of proton–B11 interactions via electron shielding and mechanical pressure gradients. A 32-channel micro-diffuser laser system controls central electron density, focusing protons onto the boron core. The layered structure manages the production and evacuation of relativistic electrons while alpha particles transfer their kinetic energy back to protons. This integrated approach shifts fusion yield from single thermal peaks to a quantum resonance regime where pressure and magnetic gradients overlap
