Abstract
This scoping review will map the available research on treatment burden, patient involvement, and navigation capacity among individuals receiving routine priority noncommunicable disease services in low- and middle-income countries. It will investigate the definitions, measurements, and experiences of these concepts, as well as the alleged links between them. The review will also suggest methodological approaches, knowledge gaps, and research objectives to help patients and health systems improve their care for NCDs.
