Measuring Political Anxiety: Construction and Psychometric Validation of a New Scale
Abstract
This study aims to construct, psychometrically evaluate and validate a new scale in order to measure political anxiety. An initial item pool of k = 30 items will be analyzed using item analysis and EFA. Furthermore, a CFA with a different subsample will be performed and tests for convergent, discriminant and construct validity will be conducted by correlating the newly devolved scale with relevant constructs.
