Abstract

First Nations people are more likely than the general population in Western countries to use methamphetamine, and are also more likely to experience greater legal, social, physical, and cultural harms than non-First Nations peers as a result of methamphetamine use. Many treatments that are currently available have not been validated in First Nations populations and may not be culturally informed. This scoping review aims to map the treatment options that have been evaluated in First Nations populations, including whether those treatments have been developed in partnership with First Nations people to specifically to address their cultural needs.
