Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of socioeconomic deprivation on treatment and clinical outcomes within an NHS Early Intervention in Psychosis (EIP) service. While previous research has highlighted the detrimental effects of poverty on mental health outcomes, including increased risk of psychosis, several gaps persist in our understanding of this relationship. This study aims to address these gaps to better understand the relationship between deprivation and psychosis and how this can affect various treatment and clinical outcomes. The study will contribute to a better understanding of the socioeconomic determinants of mental health outcomes, which will consequently inform more targeted interventions for individuals living in poverty with psychosis.
