Abstract

Primary research question: What is known in the literature about early mobility and rehabilitation among patients supported with extracorporeal life support (ECMO) as a bridge to organ transplantation? Expectations / hypotheses We hypothesize that published literature will suggest that early mobility and rehabilitation for patients on ECMO as a bridge to transplant is feasible and safe, providing functional benefits pre and post transplant; but there remains significant variability in protocols, patient selection, and reported outcomes.
