Abstract

This scoping review aims to systematically analyze existing literature and the landscape of rehabilitation professional programs in identifying anti-oppressive pedagogical concepts related to Indigenous populations, within the higher education context. Our scoping review aims to clarify what is currently being done in various educational institutions across countries in supporting anti-oppressive, health justice, and equity-focused teaching and learning as well as healthcare practice within rehabilitation programs, and with a focus on student learning. We specifically focus on the landscape within occupational therapy programs, physiotherapy programs, and speech-language pathology. The results of the scoping review will provide an overview of the current state of evidence and help inform future research and curriculum design of rehabilitation programs across Canada.
