Experiment 1 of Multistage Markov Framework Of Heuristics Reasoning
Abstract
In this experiment, we will collect a dataset for choice and response time modeling of cue-based heuristic reasoning (e.g., take-the-best and weighted additive models). We will evaluate how take-the-best and weighted additive models compare in fitting choice and response time data (once integrated into the multistage Markov framework), and whether our proposed stochastic adjustable spanner model outperforms these baseline models as well as previous adjustable spanner models (e.g., Lee and Cummins, 2004) within the same multistage Markov framework.
