Foveal Avascular Zone Changes in OCT-A in Diabetic Retinopathy – A scoping review protocol
Abstract
Optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) is a noninvasive method for evaluating changes in the retinal microvasculature associated with diabetes mellitus (DM). This review aimed to examine the characteristics of the foveal avascular zone (FAZ) as seen in OCT-A among patients with diabetic retinopathy, which are crucial for determining the severity of vision-threatening diabetic retinopathy and developing treatment plans.
