Dopaminergic Perfectionism
Abstract
This project contains an unpublished conceptual manuscript proposing the construct of “Dopaminergic Perfectionism,” a theoretical model integrating reward calibration, motivational dynamics, and procrastination. The work is entirely theoretical in nature and does not include empirical data or human participants. The manuscript is uploaded for private archiving, version control, and authorship timestamping purposes prior to potential journal submission. This project is currently private and not intended for public dissemination. AI-Assistance Disclosure The substantive intellectual contributions to this work — including the conceptual framework, model architecture, theoretical assumptions, and core arguments — are the author's original work, developed through personal observation and 200+ one-on-one consultations. During the structural refinement and language editing of the manuscript, the author engaged in iterative dialogue with large language models (LLMs) as writing-assistance tools. All final decisions regarding content, framing, and claims were made by the author. The models did not generate the underlying theoretical contribution. This disclosure is provided in alignment with COPE and ICMJE guidance on the transparent reporting of AI assistance in academic writing.
