Abstract

This scoping review aims to identify, map, and synthesize existing evidence on parenting styles and determinants related to nutritional status (Body Mass Index/BMI) and social-emotional development among toddlers in Southeast Asia. The review will identify different types of parenting styles, as well as contextual and sociodemographic factors, and their reported associations with nutritional status and social-emotional development as documented in previous studies. Relevant articles will be identified through systematic searches of electronic databases and grey literature, followed by a process of study selection and data charting in accordance with scoping review methodology. The findings of this scoping review are expected to describe research patterns, key factors that have been examined, and existing research gaps, thereby providing a foundation for future studies and the development of evidence-based interventions in the Southeast Asian context
