Abstract

The purpose of The Effect of Imagery Rehearsal on Music Performance Anxiety in Collegiate Musicians is to see whether imagery rehearsal can increase performance quality while reducing Music Performance Anxiety (MPA) and heart rate. This will be done through a week-long imagery rehearsal intervention. Two sessions will be held before and after administering the Kenny Music Performance Anxiety Inventory, heart rate monitor, and a short sight-reading examination graded by makemusic.com.
