Global patterns of antibiotic resistance in Escherichia coli isolates from urinary tract infection patients : a systematic review
Abstract
This project is a systematic review investigating global patterns of antibiotic resistance in Escherichia coli isolated from urine samples of patients with urinary tract infections (UTIs). The review aims to synthesize evidence from observational studies reporting antimicrobial susceptibility or resistance profiles of E. coli isolates across different geographic regions. The project was initially planned with a country-specific scope; however, following preliminary screening and protocol refinement, the scope was expanded to a global systematic review to enhance robustness and generalizability. This OSF record documents the protocol, search strategies, and subsequent updates transparently.
