Low back pain in tennis players: A scoping review supported by Artificial Intelligence.
Abstract
This project aims to analyze and synthesize existing scientific evidence on low back pain in tennis players through an scoping review of the literature. Low back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal conditions in sports, and in tennis, it may be related to the high biomechanical demands involved in repetitive technical movements, especially those requiring trunk rotations and explosive actions. The scientific literature on low back pain in tennis is scattered across studies with different methodological approaches, making it difficult to obtain an overview of the problem. Therefore, this scoping review aims to map the available knowledge, identifying the prevalence described, the factors associated with its onset, and the main characteristics and prevention and treatment strategies reported in the studies. The expected outcome is a structured synthesis of the current state of research on low back pain in tennis players, which will allow for the identification of trends, knowledge gaps, and possible future lines of research, thus contributing to professional practice and academic development in the field of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
