Abstract

This technical note introduces a minimal non-equilibrium dynamical framework for modeling macroscopic intelligence stability and collapse. Intelligence is represented by coupled variables for diversity and internal coupling, driven by external grounding flux. Collapse is defined as the disappearance of stable fixed points in the reduced system. A dimensionless control parameter governs stability boundaries, analogous to transport instability numbers in physics. The framework predicts universal early-warning signals near collapse, including critical slowing down, increased variance, and autocorrelation. This document provides the foundational formulation of the model.
