Abstract

This project corresponds to a scoping review that aims to map and synthesize the available evidence on the association between visual impairment and poverty, and its impact on social exclusion in Latin American populations. The review will follow the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) methodology for scoping reviews and will be reported according to the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. The objective of this protocol is to ensure transparency, methodological rigor, and reproducibility of the review process, including the search strategy, eligibility criteria, and data extraction methods.
