Controlled Comparison of Acoustic vs. Silent EVP Elicitation Methods
Abstract
This study compares two Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) elicitation methods: (1) Acoustic: pre-recorded questions played externally to a shielded booth (2) Silent: timestamp-only markers with no acoustic stimulus Primary outcome: Difference in anomalous audio event rates between conditions. Secondary: Temporal correlation and semantic relevance analysis. Design: 200 sessions (100 per condition), triple-blind analysis.
