Abstract

The present scoping review aims to map the extant literature on the association between alexithymia and cyberchondria to provide a comprehensive overview of current evidence and identify gaps. The review will examine how these constructs have been measured and investigated across different populations and settings, and identify factors explored in relation to their association. The review will be conducted in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR guidelines, encompassing searches across multiple electronic databases and grey literature sources. Studies that meet the predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria will be subjected to a screening process to determine their eligibility. The subsequent phase involves the extraction and narrative representation of the data, accompanied by the presentation of tables or figures when pertinent.
