Abstract

The Physics of Rarity: Calculating the 10.02% Micro-Porosity of CalvariadeiteWhy is the Calvariadeite (CAL_2180_PL) holotype harder than Jasper but lighter than Serendibite? The answer is hidden in its Theoretical Porosity (\phi). By applying petrophysical principles to our measured data, we have established the structural "fingerprint" of this new phase: The Calculation: Using a Measured Bulk Density (\rho_b) of 3.15813 g/cm³ against an optimized Grain Density (\rho_g) of 3.51 g/cm³:\phi = \frac{3.51 - 3.15813}{3.51} \approx 10.02\% What this 10.02% means for the Holotype: Structural Optimization: A 10\% porosity allows the mineral to maintain extreme 7.5 Mohs hardness (high-strength atomic bonds) while achieving a lower, specialized density profile. Archie’s Integration: This value supports a Low Cementation Exponent (m < 2.0), confirming a clean, homogeneous crystalline matrix—not a fragmented or shaly formation. Authentication Barrier: This specific ratio of density-to-void-space is nearly impossible to replicate synthetically, serving as a primary physical security feature for the 2,180 ct mass.
