The Applicability of the Heel Rise Test in Adults: A Scoping Review Protocol
Abstract
This scoping review aims to map the scientific literature on the Heel Rise Test (HRT) in adults (≥18 years), identifying the procedures used for its execution, the variables adopted for result measurement, the measurement properties, and normative or predictive values reported. Following the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology, a comprehensive literature search will be conducted across multiple international databases with no restrictions on publication date or language, to reach studies that applied the HRT for the functional assessment of healthy and clinical populations in any context. The findings will be synthesized descriptively to provide an overview of the procedures for application, results measured, measurement properties, and normative or predictive values, as described in the literature, supporting the standardization of HRT execution and the interpretation of its results in practice and research contexts.
