Overview of the Scope of Enteral Nutrition Management in Sepsis Patients
Abstract
Patients with sepsis present a series of complex pathophysiological changes, including hypermetabolism, enhanced catabolism, massive release of inflammatory mediators, and gastrointestinal dysfunction. Given the intricate underlying pathogenesis, these patients are at an extremely high risk of malnutrition, necessitating standardized enteral nutrition management to improve their prognosis. By analyzing and summarizing the influencing factors of enteral nutrition intolerance in sepsis patients, evaluating the feeding process, and exploring the implementation of refined standardized management, this study aims to provide a reference for optimizing the clinical management pathway of enteral nutrition in sepsis patients and clarifying future research directions.
