Abstract

The objective of this Final Degree Project was to systematically map the existing scientific evidence on physical training programs applied to active police officers and recruits in training. An exploratory review of the literature was conducted following the PCC framework and the methodological recommendations for scoping reviews. The search was carried out across several databases, applying previously defined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The included studies describe training programs developed in different police contexts, both training and professional settings, addressing various components of the structure of training programs. The results allow the identification of the main characteristics, approaches, and contexts of application of physical training programs in police populations, as well as gaps in the existing literature. This work provides a comprehensive overview of the available knowledge and facilitates the identification of areas for improvement and future lines of research in the field of police physical training.
