Cultural Adaptations in Traditional and Digital Parent Training Programs Among Immigrant and Minority Groups: A Narrative Review
Abstract
The aim of this study is to map the published literature on culturally adapted parent training programs for children with behavioral problems between the ages of 0 to 6 in immigrant and ethnic minority groups by identifying the parent training programs reviewed, as well as the countries and regions where these studies were conducted. Additionally, the review will explore the program delivery modes, comparing the traditional parent training programs to digital formats to learn about the patterns in implementation across the modalities. The study will also analyze the cultural adaptation frameworks used in the literature and critically evaluate the planning, execution, and reporting of adaptations with further attention to the nature and scope of modifications done to the preexisting parent training programs.
