Abstract

Digital health technologies (e.g. mobile applications, telehealth, electronic health records, AI‑enabled tools) are reshaping pharmaceutical care and the pharmacist’s role. The 2021 FIP report on digital health in pharmacy education highlights limited integration of digital health in pharmacy curricula, gaps in faculty expertise, and the need for practical, patient‑centred digital health skills. Early, structured exposure to digital health competences is expected to enhance adoption in professional practice, yet pharmacy programmes rarely offer dedicated, systematically designed modules. This study uses the ADDIE instructional design model together with the DECODE digital health competencies framework and FIP digital health concepts to co‑design a modular digital health curriculum tailored to pharmacy. Focus‑group style workshops with pharmacy‑related stakeholders will generate qualitative data on priority competences, learning outcomes, and feasible teaching and assessment strategies to inform this curriculum.
