Abstract

Exposure and Response Therapy (ERT) is the recommended treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) patients. However, the relation between the amount of ERT and improvements to OCD symptoms during inpatient treatment is not clear. Specifically, the number of ERT-sessions required for remission (Y-BOCS < 12) and a clinically significant reduction (>= 35%) are relevant for optimising OCD-treatment. To investigate this dose-effect relation, OCD-symptoms and treatment protocol from patients of OCD-specific wards at the Schoen Clinic Roseneck are analysed. We also assess associations with self-reported Quality of Life (QoL) to increase relevance to patients’ lived experience.
