Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of generative artificial intelligence (AI) on public opinion regarding the interpretation of Chinese national policies. Specifically, we are concerned with the effects of AI interpretation on policy outcome evaluation, policy direction preferences, government trust, and willingness to participate in politics, and we investigate the moderating role of labeled sources (AI or policy experts) on these effects. This registry outlines the research questions, hypotheses, variables, and analytical methods.
