Abstract

Ongoing efforts to identify novel therapies for cerebellar disorders aim to improve patients’ overall quality of life by addressing motor, cognitive, and psychosocial symptoms they may experience. To ensure these research efforts are responsive to the priorities of patients and caregivers of those impacted by cerebellar disorders, it is crucial to integrate the perspectives of clinical experts who possess in-depth knowledge of the disorders with the needs of patients and caregivers affected by these disorders. To guide translational research efforts, this study will use a modified Delphi approach to identify convergent and divergent priorities across patients, caregivers, clinicians, and researchers. Findings will help identify meaningful clinical trial endpoints, highlight gaps between stakeholder priorities, and support the integration of patient-centered perspectives into emerging therapeutic directions, including neuromodulation and multimodal rehabilitation.
