Ambulatory smartphone assessment of executive function: A scoping review
Abstract
This scoping review will catalogue the key features and capabilities of existing smartphone apps that assess executive function via amubulatory assessment designs. It will map how these apps have been used in empirical research, and report what evidence exists for the apps' feasibility, compliance, and psychometric properties. The findings of this study will have important implications for the development and application of digital cognitive assessments, and the interpretation of future psychological research that relies on such measures.
