Abstract

Objective: This umbrella review aims to map, synthesize, and critically evaluate the evidence from systematic reviews with meta-analyses on the prognostic role of systemic inflammation indices in oral cancer. Inclusion criteria: Systematic reviews with meta-analyses that investigated the prognostic role of systemic inflammation indices in oral cancer, regardless of publication date or language, and that reported data on the following outcomes: overall survival, disease-specific survival, and disease-free survival. Primary studies, narrative reviews, scoping reviews, editorials, conference abstracts, and systematic reviews without meta-analyses will be excluded. Methods: A search of PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, Epistemonikos, the Cochrane Library, Livivo, and Google Scholar will be conducted to identify relevant studies. Two reviewers will conduct the screening and data extraction. The results of the included systematic reviews will be summarized narratively and supplemented with tables and figures.
